A vintage Mid Century Priory Welsh Dresser in solid oak arrived looking tired and run-down — but it was fully refurbished to a high standard and given a fresh lease of life. The solid oak top was sanded back to reveal its natural grain and character, sealed with Liberon Finishing Oil and finished with Liberon Supreme Wax in Forest Brown for a warm, gently aged sheen.
It was hand painted in Bayberry by Fusion Mineral Paint — a rich heritage green that complemented the oak beautifully.

All drawers, cupboards and internal sections were sanded, cleaned and checked — everything opened and closed smoothly.

Pieces like this are why I enjoy restoring furniture so much. There’s something satisfying about taking a well-built item that’s already stood the test of time and giving it another lease of life.
